We are currently trying to promote our new ‘Opportunity Hubs’ that we have set up across NPT and invite partners/other local support organisations and community groups/residents to join us. 

 

The Opportunity Hubs are multi-agency hubs for individuals to access support within their own communities, not just for employment support, but a variety of needs. We are trying to take a more holistic approach and hopefully this will be beneficial for all involved, helping to alleviate poverty and improve wellbeing across the borough.

 

We understand that not all individuals are ready for work and may have a variety of other barriers or issues in their life that they need to address first before thinking of employment, such as mental health or housing and so we’re trying to create welcoming hubs, available on a weekly basis in which the public can call into and speak to somebody about their concerns and get the help that they need.
